What a fantastic day we all had yesterday at Holy Trinity School, Cookham, for our first ever Diamonds Netball Academy Gala Presentation Day! It was great to see over a hundred players, families, and supporters coming together to celebrate the girls’ achievements in what has been an incredible first year for our club.

The highlight for many was the brilliant Dads vs Daughters match — a real crowd-pleaser that brought out plenty of smiles and some competitive spirit too. Well done to the Under 12s and Under 11s for securing wins, the Under 10s for holding strong with a draw, and hats off to the Year 4 girls, who gave it their all but just fell short against the parents. Well done parents — give yourselves a well-earned pat on the back!

It’s the dedication of our young players and volunteers that makes days like this possible — and keeps the club running strong.

A huge shoutout must go to the incredible helpers this season who make it all happen:

? First and foremost, a massive thank you to my number two this year, Oli, whose help, support, enthusiasm, and kindness have been truly invaluable. I really couldn’t appreciate all his efforts more.
? Jen Parker, for her tireless support and everything she does behind the scenes.
? Kelly Johnson, for always lending a hand and even offering up her office for our mid-year meetings — above and beyond!
? Charlie Raisin, for stepping in whenever needed to help organise the girls on court — your time and energy are hugely appreciated.
? The Under 11s, who have shown fantastic commitment and spirit all season — with special thanks to Joanna Hoyle (Poppy’s mum) for her amazing support.
? Ray, who’s doing a brilliant job and working towards his Level Two coaching qualification — we can’t wait to see him fully qualified come September!
? For the Under 10s, a big thank you to Lucy Wells for stepping up and helping keep the girls on court while I was away — it’s been so great to see.

And finally, a huge thank you to all the parents across every age group — including everyone helping at tournaments, matches, and behind the scenes. Your commitment, energy, and positivity make this club what it is.
