What a way to make history! The Diamonds took to the court for our first ever Berkshire League match and came away with a fantastic 26–14 victory against none other than national powerhouse Pool Netball Club.

From the first whistle, every single girl gave her absolute all. The work rate was relentless, the running never stopped, and some really classy netball was played – with lovely connections right up the court.

• Girl of the Game (voted by Pool): Missy – simply unstoppable, shooting the lights out from all over inside the D.
• Players’ Player: Shared between Leena – in her very first Diamonds match – and Missy, both outstanding.
• Coach’s Player: Sophia – relentless at WA, sharp off the line, always getting free, and feeding perfectly into space.

• Grace & Liberty – Year 5 girls playing up, both brilliant and unfazed against tough opposition.
• Millie – grew stronger as the game went on, pulling off some excellent intercepts and sticking tight to her player.
• Jessie – calm, composed and tireless at GA, sinking some important shots and always on the move.
• Lizzie – controlled the centre court beautifully, linking play and keeping the team flowing forward.
